Much Easier...

This morning's run was! I did the same route about an hour and a half later than yesterday! I walked abou 50% less than yesterday, which is fantastic, but I was still tired after the four miles. So I need to work on my stamina.

I found a 4.5 mile trail that surrounds our camp site and it says it's a moderate skill level, so hopefully I can run most of it!

Hallelujah, Hallelujah!

(Que harpsichord and horns)

I ran this morning. Well mostly ran and some walking up a few hills, but I did it! 4 miles, and it felt really good out there. I have missed it so! I plan on running tomorrow morning before we head out to Albermarle, and again on Sunday! Hopefully, anyways!

We are camping this long Labor Day Weekend. I love camping, and so do the twins! There is a public pool on-site, so that will be a nice change. I am hoping to get a little bit of hiking in to!

I hope all of you in blogger land have a great Holiday!

(less than a week till we are beach bound, and I cannot wait!)

Blah blah blah blah...

that's all I got. Been extremely busy at work, so no running is happening.

Hopefully now that the Olympics are over, I will be getting to bed at a reasonable time.

Georgia on my mind!

The twins and I headed to the great state of Georgia on Friday for a short but sweet visit with my aunt and family. We arrived around 7PM, then hung out and we went to eat a late dinner.

The next day we woke up and lounged till mid afternoon, then we headed to the pool. The twins had a blast playing with their cousins.

We headed home and got ready for a small cook out in our honor! Good food, good people and good times. We ended up around the TV to watch Phelps win his 8th gold medal.

The next morning we woke up semi early and I packed up, then we lounged some more, then we headed on out around 1PM. The twins were exhausted and slept 3 of the 6 hours it took to drive home.

Running:

I tried to get up and run on Saturday, but my son decided to snore the entire night, so I was EXHAUSTED. Definitely on schedule tomorrow. The City of Oaks half is less than 3 months away and I need to get my butt in gear! Oh yeah and I still have these unruly 7lbs to get off from my last vacation.

So while I was rockin' out to JJ...

dh was at home with the twins teaching them how to do this:

Jack Johnson rocked.

We started out tailgating around 6:30 , (24 oz of Bud was $11 in the pavilion, so we agreed early on that tailgating was to be done) and Savannah and I headed into the pavilion around 8:30, found a place right in front of the grassy knoll, where we waited for Karen and her sister.

I was surprised at the turn out. It was a packed event, people were everywhere, lots of drunk tweenies running around like idiots, and a few were arrested for underage drinking.

We couldn't have cared less for the opening acts, so we just talked and waited for JJ to come on.

I was pretty drunk and I don't remember the first song, LMAO but I guess I knew the words cuz I remember hearing my self, obnoxiously loud.

He also forgot the words to a few songs WTF? But the crowd just laughed.

At 11:30 we were hurded out the front gates, then we hurried up to wait after we got in our cars. I think we made it out around 12:15, and we were hoping to get some grub at one of Gary's BK's but they closed. Gary was not happy to hear this, they are supposed to stay open till 1AM...uh oh did I get someone in trouble? LOL

Savannah and I headed to Lenny's, uh I mean Denny's for a super bird with lots of ranch.

I think I was in my drive way by 2AM...

I HATE LIFE RIGHT NOW! but it was a great show and worth the tiredness now.

Well I did it!

Run that is. I haven't been running on the weekends like I need to. I did 5 on Saturday, then we went bowling for 2 hours. So I think I got a decent workout this weekend.

Wow. It was allot of work but they had the best time bowling.

A few updates...

Can I just tell you how much I love my Wii? A whole effin lot! It's da bestest gift evah. It was an early birthday present from Gary. He knew I wanted one badly and he was at Costco and they had ONE left. He took that as a sign and snatched it up. It came with 2 extra controllers, Super Smash Bros Brawl, and WiiPlay.

I also downloaded Kid Icarus, Super Mario Bros and Legend of Zelda. I am like a kid in the candy store. I love video games. Someone suggested WiiFit..uhm no, my console is sacred and will not see that non-sense. That's why I run, so that my Wii is pleasure.

The twins and I are going to GA next weekend to visit my Aunt, it's her bday the 12th so it will be a nice little visit.

Then we have a camping trip planned for Labor Day weekend, at Morrow Mountain. I have never been but have heard stellar things about this place. They also have a state run pool, which just scores big with the twins.

We finally booked the beach house in Atlantic Beach. We are going for 9 heavenly days in September for my birthday! I can't wait.

The twins start school on the 3rd, and they are very excited, we have a few meetings with the teacher and then they go on a dry run at the end of this month. My babies are growing up!

Running:

I found it! My GAD, that is!

I was up bright and early for a 4 miler, although we walked a portion, it was nice to get out there. Except for the humidity :HAFER: which I am sooooo sick of.

I am planning on heading to the gym for my ST in a bit and my eating? OP Baby!

Back on the streets...

Running, that is. Why is it 80+ degrees and 87416316136136154 % humidity at 5:30AM? Jeez Laweeze, this weather blows. Got up early for my first run in 2 weeks, and it didn't suck as much as I thought it would (i.e. having to walk which I didn't) Tom kept me running. When did that happen?

We did 4 miles in 43 minutes, I think the first mile was 9:32, wowza! I am feelin' it in my hamstrings and calves. Even the top of my left foot aches, WTF?

Tonight I am taking the twins to Monkey Joes with our TriangeInterracialFamilies group.

Tomorrow we are going swimming with some friends, Sunday I am hoping to get our butts to church, since we haven't been in months. Pray for us!
